The funding body of the Swiss School of violin making (Geigenbauschule Brienz) is the «Stiftung Geigenbauschule Brienz» trust, whose president is Prof. Dr. phil. Hellmut Thomke from Allmendingen by Berne. Vice-president is Adrian Glatthard, a lawyer and notary from Brienz.

The trust is charged with raising and managing the trust's capital and supervising the administration of the Swiss School of violin making, which is funded by the trust's capital gains. Should you have any queries, please contact the school director, Hansruedi Hösli.

Administration
The school is run by the faculty and in some areas also by the students, under
the supervision of the school director. The school of violin making is a training
workshop modelled on the old master workshops, with theoretical professional
subjects interwoven with practical instruction.
Expert council
Represented on the council of experts are: members of the professional association
of Swiss violin makers and bow makers SVGB (Rudolf Isler, Michael Rüttimann,
Johannes Finkel), members of the European String Teachers Association ESTA
(Patrick Demenga) and the specialist teaching staff of the school of violin
making.
