The paths of these five musicians have crossed for many years. They regularly play together in various formations and ensembles such as the Festival Strings Lucerne, the Camerata Bern, the Medea Trio and the B\u00e4renstutz Ensemble. All five are passionate chamber musicians who love to get to the heart of the score and trace the roots of the music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– B\u00e9la Bart\u00f3k, Quintet for Piano, 2 Violins, Viola and Violoncello, Op. 3<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The String Quartet in C major by the 15-year-old Franz Schubert is characterised by bold harmonic changes and echoes of folk melodies. Bart\u00f3k was also very young when he composed his piano quintet \u2013 at the age of 22, he created a late romantic work in which influences from folk music can also be heard. But the young Bart\u00f3k cannot deny his great role models, Brahms and Strauss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
