Since 2000, the Brienz Violin Making School Foundation has honoured renowned musicians for outstanding achievements. The “Golden Bow Award” symbolises the connection between music and violin making and is presented at the opening concert of the Meiringen Music Festival Week.
The prize consists of a high-quality engraved and gold-mounted bow made by Finkel Bogenwerkstätte Brienz AG.
