Japanese violinist Yukiko Ishibashi studied in Tokyo, Lübeck and Zurich and has won numerous international prizes. She performs worldwide as a soloist and chamber musician, including with the Trio Oreade, which won the Munich String Trio Competition in 2012. She has been a member of the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich since 2003. She plays the Stradivarius ‘King George’ (1710) and is currently dedicated to rediscovering the works of Koichi Kishi (source: www.yukikoishibashi.com).

Yuko Hara, born in New York and trained in Japan, is an internationally sought-after violist. She studied with Nobuko Imai and Rainer Schmidt, among others, and has won numerous competitions. She has been a member of the Quatuor Ardeo since 2016, founded the award-winning franz ensemble in 2018 and performs regularly at festivals worldwide. Erika Akane Schutter completed her studies with Thomas Füri and Sebastian Hamann. In 2012, she graduated with a soloist diploma. Her passion is chamber music. As a violinist with the Medea Trio, she has won various competitions (including the Migros Chamber Music Competition in 2009). She has performed with the trio in Europe, the USA and Japan. She has been a member of the Festival Strings Lucerne since 2014, where she has held the position of second violin since 2022. She is also a substitute member of the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, the Zurich Chamber Orchestra and the Camerata Zurich. From 2008 to 2009, she was a member of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra. As a soloist, she performed Alban Berg’s Violin Concerto with the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra at the KKL Luzern. Since 2012, she has been teaching music at the Brienz Violin Making School. From 2017 to 2019 and 2020 to 2021, she was employed on an interim basis by the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich. She lives with her husband and two daughters in Liebefeld, Canton of BernBE.
