The Violin Making School Foundation

Training as a violin maker is provided jointly by the cantonal vocational school, which is administered by the School of Woodcarving, and the private training workshop of the Swiss School of Violin Making.
The workshop is operated by the Geigenbauschule Brienz Foundation. The Foundation oversees its activities, provides the necessary facilities and ensures the basic funding of workshop operations.
Training is financed through tuition fees, instrument sales, and the repair and servicing of string instruments. Additional funding comes from the Hans and Verena Krebs Foundation, investment income, and contributions from patrons and charitable foundations.
Donations to the Geigenbauschule Brienz are tax-deductible. If you are interested, please feel free to view our annual accounts.
The Foundation is supervised by the Swiss Federal Supervisory Authority for Foundations.
