About Us

Behind the scenes.

The Swiss School of Violin Making was founded in 1944. Ever since, we have trained young people in a craft that has been practised in much the same way for almost 500 years. We preserve this valuable heritage by passing it on to a new generation of craftspeople who carry it into the present and the future—and continue to develop it.
