Olivier Krieger
Co-Principal, Instructor
After graduating from high school, Olivier Krieger studied viola in Hamburg, Freiburg, and Mannheim, completing his studies with distinction. He worked as a violist in the Bern Symphony Orchestra until 2014. At the same time, he turned his attention to string instrument making, passing his federal vocational diploma (EFZ) at the Swiss School of Violin Making in Brienz in 2005. He went on to earn his master's diploma in 2011. From 2005 to 2019, he ran a violin making workshop in Bern, now known as Schutter Widmer Geigenbau GmbH. Since 2019, Olivier Krieger has served as co-principal and teacher of vocational studies and as workshop instructor at the Swiss School of Violin Making.
