Friederike Sophie Dangel

Friederike Sophie Dangel is a trained violin maker with over thirty years of experience in new construction, repair, restoration, and sound adjustment. She completed her training under Francesco Bissolotti in Cremona; her professional career has included positions at Carlson-Cacciatori-Neumann in Cremona and Wilhelm Geigenbau in Suhr. She has operated her own violin making workshop in Basel since 2017. In addition to her practical work, she regularly shares her expertise through workshops and collaborations with educational institutions and universities. Starting in the 2026/27 academic year, she will teach professional studies at the Swiss School of Violin Making and contribute her extensive experience to the workshop curriculum.
