The entrance examination at the Swiss Violinmaking School takes place once a year, at the beginning of February. Skills in the areas of craftsmanship, design and instrumental music are tested. The condition for admission to the entrance examination is the completion of compulsory schooling.
The 2024 entrance examinations will take place from february 5th – 07th 202.
The closing date for registration is january 1st 2025

Admission requirements
Prospective students must meet the following requirements to be accepted by the school:
- Submit a completed application, recieved before the deadline
- Complete a preparatory assignment before the entrance exam
- Pass the entrance examination
- Recieve confirmation by the foundation board
