Are you interested in training to become a violin maker? Then drop by!
We will show you around the school and provide you with personalised information about the requirements of the apprenticeship and career prospects.
The four-year training programme in professional practice and theory will prepare you intensively for your future tasks. Once you have passed the final apprenticeship examination, you will be an EFZ violin maker (Swiss Certificate of Competence).
You will practise your profession in violin making ateliers and music stores or you will become self-employed after your years of training and travelling.
You may also decide to go on to do additional training in music, sound engineering, restoration/conservation or wood technology at a college or university.
Two to three training places are advertised at our school each year, for which you can qualify by taking an entrance examination.
