Violin after A. Stradivari, "Sarasate", 1724

With this instrument, Eva Schulz, who trained at the Swiss School of Violin Making from 2021 to 2025, represented the school at the 2024 Concours International de Lutherie in Paris. She won first prize as well as the Prix Coup de Cœur, awarded for outstanding craftsmanship. The instrument is now part of the collection of the Musée de la musique in Paris and is made available to musicians.

Held every two years since 2022, the competition welcomes both professional violin makers and schools, which compete in the “Talents de demain” category. The Swiss School of Violin Making won first prize in both 2022 and 2024 and was awarded a bronze medal in 2026.
